Terms of Service

Effective date: August 12, 2026 — applies to the Nighthawk Commandos Discord bot, verification system, and admin dashboard operated by Cipher Interactive.
These Terms govern your use of the Discord bot, Roblox verification system, and web dashboards ("the Service") developed and operated by Cipher Interactive ("we", "us") for the Nighthawk Commandos Discord server and Roblox group ("the Community"). Cipher Interactive is an independent operator providing these tools — it does not own Nighthawk Commandos, and Nighthawk Commandos does not own Cipher Interactive. By using the Service — joining the Discord server, running its commands, or linking a Roblox account through it — you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must meet Discord's and Roblox's own minimum age requirements (generally 13+, or higher where your local law requires) and comply with both platforms' Terms of Service to use the Service. If you don't meet Discord's or Roblox's eligibility requirements, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service provides, among other things:

The Service is provided as a tool for the Community's own moderation and organization; it is not a Roblox or Discord product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Roblox Corporation or Discord Inc.

3. Account Linking & Verification

Linking a Roblox account is voluntary but may be required to access certain roles, channels, or standing within the Community, at the Community's discretion. You may only link a Roblox account you own and are authorized to use. A given Roblox account may only be linked to one Discord account at a time within the server — attempting to link an account already linked elsewhere will be rejected and may be treated as an attempt to evade a ban or prior enforcement action. You can link more than one Roblox account to your own Discord account and choose which one is "primary" for role purposes.

4. Automated & Staff Background Checks

New verifications go through a lightweight, fully automated screening step (account age, Roblox's facility ban list, and other legitimacy signals — see our Privacy Policy for the full list) before a real, staff-reviewed background check. The automated step can deny access without human review if your account clearly fails these checks; if you believe an automated denial was made in error, contact server staff to request a manual review. Passing either check is not a guarantee of continued membership or standing — both remain subject to the Community's ongoing conduct standards.

5. Roles, Ranks & Community Standing

Discord roles and nicknames may be assigned, changed, or removed automatically based on your live Roblox group rank, group memberships, owned assets, or other staff-configured conditions, and may change without individual notice whenever these underlying facts change (e.g. your Roblox group rank changes, or you renamed your Roblox account). Staff-configured automation is not guaranteed to be error-free; report a role that looks wrong to staff rather than assuming it's intentional.

6. Prohibited Conduct

In connection with the Service, you agree not to:

7. Enforcement & Discipline

The Community may issue strikes, apply the automated Reserve process (temporary removal from the Roblox group and reduced Discord access pending activity-based reinstatement or reassignment), open an Internal Affairs case, or take other moderation action for violations of these Terms or the Community's own rules, at its discretion. These actions are Community moderation decisions, not automated legal determinations, and may be appealed through whatever appeal process the Community makes available.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Automated checks and role synchronization are based on external data (Roblox's APIs, Discord's platform) that we don't control and that can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cipher Interactive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including loss of Discord roles, Roblox group standing, or community access resulting from an automated decision, a bug, downtime, or a third-party platform (Roblox, Discord, or any other service listed in our Privacy Policy) behaving unexpectedly.

10. Third-Party Platforms

Your use of Discord and Roblox themselves remains governed by their own Terms of Service, independent of these Terms. We are not responsible for those platforms' availability, policies, or actions (including Roblox or Discord account suspensions).

11. Termination

We and/or the Community may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, remove your linked accounts, or revoke roles at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by leaving the Discord server and/or unlinking your Roblox account(s) via /accounts unlink.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Meaningful changes will update the effective date at the top of this page; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms: admin@cipherinteractive.dev, or contact staff in the Nighthawk Commandos Discord server.
